Intensities

Intensities acquire volume,
Then flow fast
Squandering their vitality
Along the way.

Unless impeded by obstacles,
They overwhelm the senses
Drown consciousness and
Dissipate the power to give direction.

Intensities are torrential
Overwhelming the rational impulse
Dying before a
Satisfactory denouement.

Postponing enlightenment
By finding a tortuous path
Filled with trivia and stones
Intensities seek their own greatness.
