Love Song of a Journey man

I

The world
shrinks within

the boundaries
of flesh.

Drink nectar.

Grasp the luster

of a sculpted beauty
in hands-

one cannot,
for instance,

gather fog
in the fist.

II

How long
can our hands

keep the distance
bound.

Look ahead-
the journey is short.

There
the road unwinds,

where
you’ll pick up

the race
and melt away

in the noises
of a city

whose streets
lead you nowhere.
